This is a result of issues with the main data connection between the PC and IRIS.  Potential causes are:

  • Incorrect Network card settings. Make sure  all of the "offload" options have been disabled on the network card, see the "Installation manual for more details".
  • Cable damage.
  • The cable becoming loose in its plug on either end.
  • Incorrect TCP/IP settings.  This can be caused by installing antivirus software after the IRIS has been set up, which may result in changes to various network connectivity settings necessary for the IRIS' proper function.
